The house was purchased by Adolf Maurer, who came from Oberwichtrach in the canton of Bern. During this time, the restaurant was not only run as a business, but also a farm and a village shop, which supplied the inhabitants with daily food. Paul Maurer, Adolf's son, later took over the business, and the family continued to run the economy until 1975. Agriculture and the shop were abandoned around 1960.

The south side of the building was rebuilt. A new shop was built on the street side and the interior was modernized, which corresponds to the current appearance.

The restaurant was leased to Werner Monhart before it was acquired by the Reinhard and Anna Widmer family in 1980. The initial tenants from 1981 to 1983 were Peter and Maja Grünig, followed by Gret Rechsteiner until 1988. Rechsteiner, who still lives in Oberembrach, was a teacher and conducted the men's choir for over 40 years.

Anna Widmer managed the restaurant herself until 2003. In 1981, the walkway between the stream and the garden restaurant was purchased by the municipality, which enabled the garden restaurant to be designed in its current form. In 1982, the parking spaces were built across the street, and in 1995, the parlour was redesigned and expanded, including new toilet facilities.

After handing over the property to her son Jörg Widmer, the restaurant was unfortunately only continued for a short time. His brother Reinhard took over the property and leased it

to the Urs and Romy Baumann family. During this time, the former economy section was redesigned by installing apartments.

Three restaurateurs, known as “The Three Roses”, took over the restaurant. With her breath of fresh air and her passion for gastronomy, a new chapter in the history of this traditional house begins.
